"Joy is not in things; it is in us." – Richard Wagner

A new year is upon us, and with it comes a flurry of resolutions, expectations, and that all-too-familiar pressure to "be better." But here's the thing: joy doesn't come from checking off a list of self-improvement goals. It doesn’t come from trying to fit into someone else’s idea of success. True joy? It's found in the spaces between the goals, in the quiet moments of self-appreciation, and in embracing the uniqueness of our journey.
As we step into 2025, it’s time to acknowledge that we don’t need to rush to perfection. In fact, slowing down and appreciating the small things in life is what brings true fulfillment. We often talk about gratitude, but for me, the true magic lies in appreciation. Gratitude can feel like a formal exercise sometimes, but appreciation? That’s about really feeling the good things around us, even in the simplest forms.
I want to share with you my journey for this year, the themes I’m focusing on, and how my Joy and Manifestation Club ties into this. There’s power in intention, and by focusing on what brings us joy and how we can manifest more of it, we create not just a vision for ourselves but a whole movement.
The Power of Appreciating the Journey
As we dive deeper into the year, it’s easy to get caught up in the whirlwind of "new year, new you" messaging. Everyone’s talking about self-improvement, fitness goals, and career shifts. But what happens when those goals feel too much, too fast? When the pressure becomes overwhelming? We forget that joy doesn’t just live in the future. It’s available to us in the present moment.
I’ve learned that life isn’t about constantly striving for something better. It’s about appreciating where we are and what we already have. When we take a moment to appreciate ourselves, our lives, and the blessings around us, we tap into a deeper well of joy.
That’s why I’ve chosen appreciation as my cornerstone this year. Unlike gratitude, which often feels like an obligation, appreciation is more natural. It's not about being thankful for specific things, but recognizing the value in everything—especially within ourselves.
Werifesteria: Living in the Awe
If you’ve been following me for a while, you’ve probably heard me mention Werifesteria—a beautiful word I stumbled upon that embodies the essence of wonder and awe. Werifesteria is the feeling you get when you wander through the forest, with no agenda but to be present and in awe of the natural world around you. It’s a word that evokes the magic of simply being.
This year, I want to immerse myself more in this energy. Werifesteria is about tuning in, being present, and allowing ourselves to wander in wonder. It’s an invitation to let go of the need for constant productivity and embrace the beauty of the world as it is. It's about reconnecting with the awe of life and choosing to be in the moment rather than racing towards the next milestone.
So, why do I bring this up now, in the second week of the year? Because this is the moment when many of us feel the pressure of those resolutions start to weigh on us. We may feel like we're falling behind or that we've already “failed” because we didn’t hit the ground running. But that’s where the magic happens—right here, in the space between the pressure and the expectation.
Werifesteria reminds us that it’s okay to pause. It’s okay to not have it all figured out yet. We are already enough, just as we are. The more we allow ourselves to be present, the more joy will naturally flow into our lives. In fact, by embracing this wandering energy, we begin to manifest the life we want—not by chasing after it, but by being open to it.
Setting Intentions, Not Resolutions
As we move further into 2025, I challenge you to think differently about your goals. Instead of resolutions, which often feel like tasks that must be checked off, consider setting intentions. Intentions are rooted in your desires and feelings, not obligations. They invite you to explore, appreciate, and be present with the life you're living right now.
Take some time to journal about what you truly want this year. Not from a place of fear or urgency, but from a place of curiosity and excitement. What do you want to experience, to feel? What would make you feel alive and connected? Let that be the foundation of your intention.
How My Club Ties Into All of This
The Joy and Manifestation Club is built on the premise that joy and manifestation are not separate—they are one and the same. Joy is the fuel that powers manifestation. It is the energy that attracts everything you desire. And it starts with appreciating who you are and where you are right now. You don’t need to wait for the "perfect moment" to manifest your desires.
In my club, we focus on the little things that create big shifts—like starting each day with an intention, practicing appreciation, and getting clear on what we want. These practices, when done consistently, create a ripple effect that expands into every area of our lives. This year, we will focus on these practices even more, embracing the power of collective energy to manifest our dreams and goals.
The Movement I See
This isn’t just about one person manifesting their desires—it’s about all of us coming together, supporting one another, and sharing in the joy of creating the lives we want. The movement I see is one where people truly embrace their uniqueness, understand the power of their energy, and learn how to manifest not just through their actions but through their alignment with their truest self.
The community I am building through the Joy and Manifestation Club is one of support, inspiration, and abundance. It’s a place where we not only share our journeys but actively create the spaces we need to flourish. In this space, we appreciate one another, cheer each other on, and most importantly, live from a place of joy.
Affirmations and Visualization: Aligning Your Energy
To continue the flow of joy, affirmations and visualization can be powerful tools. When you align your energy with what you want, you begin to manifest it effortlessly. Use affirmations to reprogram your mindset. Start with simple statements like, "I am worthy of the life I desire," or "I attract joy and abundance into my life every day."
Visualization is another tool I use to connect with my desires. I imagine myself living the life I want. What does it feel like? What am I doing? Who am I with? Visualization helps you see your dreams as real and attainable, creating the emotional connection that brings them to life.
