Live The Life You Love

“Joy is the compass that guides us to our true desires, manifesting a life we love.”

Introduction: Joy isn’t just a personal experience; it’s a force that can influence everything around us. When we cultivate inner joy, it ripples out into our work, relationships, and even global communities. Imagine a world where joy is the driving force behind every action and interaction. This is the vision we hold at The Joy and Manifestation Club.

Joy is a powerful emotion that can transform our lives in profound ways. It’s not just about feeling good in the moment; it’s about creating a lasting state of happiness and fulfillment. It’s about accessing that space within that can never be destroyed, that even in the darkest of hours is always a burning flame. When we are joyful, we attract positive experiences and people into our lives. Our energy shifts, and we become magnets for abundance and success. This is why joy is such an essential part of the manifestation process.

Why Joy is a Superpower:

Joy isn’t just a fleeting emotion; it’s a powerful state of being that attracts more positivity and success. As Neville Goddard and Abraham Hicks teach, our emotions shape our reality. When we live in a state of joy, we align ourselves with the highest vibrations, attracting abundance and opportunities. Personally, I’ve seen how joy has transformed my life and the lives of those around me. From manifesting new opportunities to deepening relationships, joy has been the catalyst for countless miracles.

Neville Goddard, a pioneer in the field of manifestation, often spoke about the power of emotions in shaping our reality. He believed that our feelings are the key to manifesting our desires. When we feel joyful, we are in alignment with our true selves and our highest potential. This alignment allows us to attract the things we desire effortlessly.

Similarly, Abraham Hicks teaches that our emotions are our guidance system. When we feel good, we are in alignment with our desires. When we feel bad, we are out of alignment. By focusing on joy, we can stay in a state of alignment and attract the things we want into our lives.

Practical Ways to Cultivate Joy:

Cultivating joy is a daily practice. Here are a few habits that can help you maintain a joyful state:

  • Mindfulness: Take a few moments each day to be present. Notice the beauty around you and savor the small moments. Mindfulness helps us stay grounded and connected to the present moment, which is where joy resides. One way to practice mindfulness is through meditation. Spend a few minutes each day sitting quietly and focusing on your breath. Notice the sensations in your body and the thoughts that come and go. This simple practice can help you cultivate a sense of inner peace and joy. The key is to get to a place where you are totally quiet. It may take 5 minutes, it may take 20, but it will alter your day.
  • Appreciation: Start an appreciation journal. Write down three things you appreciate each day. Appreciation shifts our focus from what we lack to what we have. It helps us recognize the abundance in our lives and attracts more of it. When we are appreciative, we are in a state of joy. Take a moment each day to reflect on the things you are thankful for. It could be something as simple as a beautiful sunset or a kind gesture from a friend. By focusing on appreciation, we can cultivate a sense of joy and contentment.

***** I know many of you have been gratitude journal keepers and please please don’t stop if that has been working for you. This is just a little write up on why I prefer appreciation - it is very present tense:

Appreciation vs. Gratitude: Understanding the Difference

While appreciation and gratitude are often used interchangeably, they have distinct meanings and nuances that can enrich our understanding of both concepts.

Gratitude is the feeling of thankfulness for something that has been given or received. This is more of a past tense reflection.  It’s an emotional response to recognizing the good things in life and expressing thanks for them. For example, you might feel gratitude when someone gives you a gift or helps you in a time of need. Gratitude often focuses on the positive aspects of life and the benefits we receive from others.

Appreciation, on the other hand, is the recognition and enjoyment of the value or worth of something or someone now. It’s a cognitive acknowledgment of the positive qualities and contributions of others. Appreciation goes beyond just feeling thankful; it involves a deeper understanding and recognition of the value that something or someone brings to your life. For instance, you might appreciate a friend’s kindness, a beautiful sunset, or the effort someone put into a project.

Here are a few key differences:

  1. Focus: Gratitude often centers on the benefits we receive, while appreciation focuses on recognizing the inherent value or worth of something or someone.
  2. Depth: Gratitude is an emotional response, whereas appreciation involves a more cognitive recognition and understanding.
  3. Scope: Gratitude can be more general and broad, encompassing a wide range of positive experiences. Appreciation tends to be more specific, acknowledging particular qualities or actions.

By cultivating both gratitude and appreciation, we can enhance our overall sense of well-being and create a more positive and fulfilling life. While gratitude helps us recognize the good in our lives, appreciation allows us to see and value the unique contributions of others and the world around us.

  • Glimmer Moments: Recognize and cherish the small moments of joy throughout your day. These are the little things that make you smile or bring a sense of happiness. It could be a warm cup of coffee in the morning, a hug from a loved one, or a beautiful flower in bloom. By paying attention to these glimmer moments, we can cultivate a sense of joy and appreciation for the present moment.
  • 5-Minute Tai Chi: One of my favorite quick 5 minute Tai Chi movements is the “Now Is The Only Time” movement.  It’s a gentle, flowing movement that calms the mind and energizes the body. 5 minute Tai Ch was developed by a tai chi master who I can no longer find on the internet but I have used it for years. It incorporates sports medicine and tai chi and literally only takes five minutes. The first movement has you bending low in a slow squat and brining your hands into prayer formation while you say “now is the only time” do this 5 times. Incorporating practices like this while we focus on our central flame where joy resides is a form of moving meditation that helps us connect with our bodies and the present moment. It promotes relaxation, reduces stress, and cultivates a sense of inner peace and joy. Try incorporating a few minutes of this movement into your daily routine to experience its benefits.

The Science Behind Joy and Manifestation:

Joy is scientifically proven to have positive impacts on health, mindset, and success. Studies show that joyful people are more resilient, have stronger immune systems, and are more successful in their endeavors. The law of attraction teaches us that joy aligns us with our desires, making it easier to manifest our dreams.

Research has shown that positive emotions, such as joy, have a profound impact on our physical and mental health. When we experience joy, our bodies release endorphins and other feel-good chemicals that boost our mood and overall well-being. Joy also strengthens our immune system, making us more resilient to illness and disease. Studies have also shown that joyful people are more likely to achieve success in various areas of life. A positive mindset can enhance creativity, problem-solving skills, and resilience. For instance, research by Dr. Barbara Fredrickson, a leading psychologist in positive psychology, suggests that positive emotions broaden our thought-action repertoires, helping us build lasting resources and achieve our goals

In addition to its health benefits, joy also has a positive impact on our mindset and success. When we are joyful, we are more optimistic and motivated. We are better able to handle challenges and setbacks, and we are more likely to take inspired action towards our goals. This positive mindset attracts opportunities and success into our lives. If you are a follower of the law of attraction it teaches us that like attracts like.  When we are in a state of joy, we attract more joy and positive experiences into our lives. Our energy shifts, and we become magnets for abundance and success. By focusing on joy, we can align ourselves with our desires and manifest our dreams.

How to Use Joy to Manifest Desires: Here are some steps to use joy in your manifestation journey. (These come from our book A.L.I.V.E. 5 Steps To Manifest Your Desires. This is included in your Joy and Manifestation Membership):

  1. Ask: Begin by asking the universe for what you desire. Be clear and specific about your intentions. This sets the foundation for your manifestation journey. When you ask for what you want, you are sending a clear signal to the universe about your desires. Be specific and detailed in your request. The more clarity you have, the easier it will be for the universe to deliver.
  2. Listen: Tune into your inner guidance and the signs around you. The universe communicates in subtle ways. Pay attention to your intuition and the synchronicities that occur in your life. These are signs that you are on the right path. Trust your inner guidance and follow the nudges and gut feelings that lead you towards your goals.
  3. Intuit: Trust your intuition. Your inner wisdom knows the way. Follow the nudges and gut feelings that lead you towards your goals. Intuition is a powerful tool in the manifestation process. It is your inner guidance system that helps you navigate the path to your desires. Trust your intuition and take inspired action based on its guidance.
  4. Visualize: See your desires as already achieved. Visualization creates a powerful energy that attracts your dreams into reality. Spend a few minutes each day visualizing your desires as if they have already come true. Imagine the feelings of joy and fulfillment that come with achieving your goals. This powerful practice helps to align your energy with your desires and attract them into your life.
  5. Execute: Take inspired action. Manifestation requires you to move towards your goals with confidence and determination. Once you have asked for what you want, listened to your inner guidance, and visualized your desires, it’s time to take action. Take small steps each day towards your goals. Trust that the universe is supporting you and guiding you towards your desires.

Reflect on how joy affects your manifestation journey. Focus on activities and thoughts that light you up and bring you joy. The more joy you experience, the easier it will be to manifest your desires.
